Cabinet approves land for key infrastructure projects in Sindh

land allotment Sindh

The Sindh Cabinet has approved multiple land allotments to boost infrastructure connectivity and power distribution in the province.

On the request of the Investment Department, 10.2 acres were allotted for Access Road-2, which will link the Dhabeji Special Economic Zone with National Highway N-5.

This move is aimed at facilitating smooth transport and logistics operations from the economic zone, enhancing its industrial viability and investor appeal.

Improved road access is expected to accelerate trade flow and reduce transit time for goods entering or exiting Dhabeji SEZ.

Additionally, the Cabinet has approved the leasing of 3.34 acres of land for 99 years for the Marble City Access Road project.

The approved land spans across Malir and Karachi West districts, with the goal of connecting key marble processing zones to transport corridors.

This road project is part of a broader plan to support Sindh’s marble industry by easing access for cargo vehicles and boosting exports.

Officials highlighted that the leased land will be critical in resolving connectivity challenges for industrial and commercial stakeholders.

Moreover, the Cabinet has granted 10–12 acres to the National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC) in Hyderabad.

This land will support the Matiari-Lahore Transmission Line Project in Matli Taluka and Matiari District, a major initiative in Pakistan’s power distribution network.

The project will help stabilize power supply to central and northern parts of the country, ensuring smoother energy transmission from the south.

These land approvals reflect Sindh’s strategy to promote industrial zones and improve infrastructure for long-term economic development.
