The Government of Pakistan has reduced the prices of petroleum products for the coming week.
The petrol price reduction Pakistan will see both Motor Spirit and High Speed Diesel become cheaper by Rs 5 per litre. The new prices take effect from May 16, 2026.
According to a press release issued by the Petroleum Division on May 15, the price of Motor Spirit (petrol) has been reduced from Rs 414.78 to Rs 409.78 per litre.
High Speed Diesel has been lowered from Rs 414.58 to Rs 409.58 per litre. Both products now have a price difference of exactly Rs 5 less than the previous week.
The petrol price reduction Pakistan follows the previous pricing that was effective from May 9, 2026. Motor Spirit and Diesel are now available at identical rates of approximately Rs 409.60 per litre.
Consumers will benefit from lower fuel costs for transportation and goods movement.
