Pakistan’s exports increased by 17.3% to $2.35 billion in July 2021, the first month of the fiscal year 2021-22, compared with $2 billion recorded during the same month a year earlier.

The figures were shared by then Adviser to the Prime Minister on Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood.
Dawood announced the export figures in a post on Twitter, saying exports had grown 17.3% during the first month of the new financial year.
“During the first month of this financial year (July), our exports grew at 17.3% to USD 2.35 billion as compared to USD 2 billion in July 2020,” he said.
The increase reflected higher export earnings at the beginning of fiscal year 2021-22 compared with the corresponding period of the previous year.
The government had been focusing on increasing exports and improving Pakistan’s trade performance as part of its broader efforts to strengthen the economy and expand international market access.
