ICC security team praises Pakistan’s preparations for Champions Trophy amid robust security measures

As Pakistan gears up to host the prestigious ICC Champions Trophy, a high-profile delegation from the International Cricket Council (ICC), led by David Misker, head of the ICC Security Reconnaissance Team, visited the Special Security Unit (SSU) headquarters in Karachi. This visit was a crucial part of the security evaluations being conducted to ensure a safe and seamless event for players, officials, and fans.

The ICC delegation’s visit aimed to assess the security framework in place for the upcoming tournament, reinforcing cooperation between local law enforcement agencies and the ICC. During the visit, Commandant SSU Anwar Khetran provided a comprehensive briefing regarding the security plans for the matches set to take place at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi.
