This significant decline marks the fourth consecutive session of losses, and the accelerated pace of the drop suggests that selling pressure has intensified considerably. The yellow metal has now fallen below the Rs. 450,000 psychological level for the first time since August.
In 10 grams, 24-karat gold decreased by Rs. 4,801 to Rs. 384,375, while 22-karat gold fell by Rs. 4,401 to Rs. 352,356. The substantial declines across all variants indicate broad-based weakness in the market.
The drop was fueled by a notable retreat in global markets. The international gold price fell by $56 to $4,258, its lowest level in several weeks. This global weakness provided a strong bearish catalyst for local traders.
Since the late August peak above Rs. 483,000, gold has now retreated approximately Rs. 35,000 per tola. The metal remains above the July lows near Rs. 421,000, but the acceleration of losses raises concerns about further downside in the near term.
Earlier, the Gold Rate in Pakistan continued its downward trend, with the yellow metal posting its third consecutive session of losses. The 24-karat gold rate fell by Rs. 1,800, closing at Rs. 453,936 per tola.
This sustained decline reflects ongoing pressure on the yellow metal, though the consistent size of the daily drops suggests a controlled and orderly correction rather than a panic-driven sell-off.
In 10 grams, 24-karat gold decreased by Rs. 1,544 to Rs. 389,176, while 22-karat gold fell by Rs. 1,416 to Rs. 356,757. The steady declines across all variants indicate persistent selling pressure.
