The Karachi air quality today ranged from moderate to unhealthy for sensitive groups with the highest pollution level was recorded in Gulistan-e-Johar at 129 PM2.5.

According to the Air Quality Index data at 8:30 PM, Mauripur showed a reading of 74 PM2.5, falling into the “Moderate” category. Aram Bagh recorded 106 PM2.5, indicating higher pollution levels. Clifton Block 4 had relatively cleaner air with 64 PM2.5, while DHA Phase 5 recorded 57 PM2.5, which was among the lowest levels.

Shahrae Faisal reported 116 PM2.5, reflecting unhealthy air conditions for sensitive groups. Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 14 recorded 80 PM2.5, while University Road showed 94 PM2.5, both falling in the moderate range.

Overall, air quality varied across Karachi, with some areas experiencing moderate conditions while others reached unhealthy levels for sensitive groups.

The Karachi air quality forecast for the next three days shows a fluctuating trend. Friday, June 5 is expected at 92 PM2.5 in the moderate range. Saturday, June 6 may improve to 80, while Sunday, June 7 is predicted to worsen to 122, entering the unhealthy range for sensitive groups.

Residents with respiratory conditions are advised to take precautions, especially on days when pollution levels rise.

Children, elderly citizens, and individuals with heart or lung diseases should limit outdoor exposure during higher pollution periods.

AQI 201–300: Very Unhealthy

This range signals emergency-level health warnings. The entire population is more likely to experience adverse health effects. Those with respiratory conditions and active individuals should avoid all outdoor activity, while everyone else, particularly children, should limit time spent outdoors.

AQI 300+: Hazardous
