The city administration has imposed a two-day ban on pillion riding under Section 144 to maintain law and order during Youm-e-Ali processions.
According to a notification issued by Commissioner Karachi, the ban will remain in effect on the 21st and 22nd of Ramadan.
Authorities have warned of strict action against violators. However, women, children, elderly citizens, and journalists are exempt from this restriction.
The Karachi police have implemented foolproof security measures to ensure the safety of the central Youm-e-Ali procession.

Additional IG Karachi Javed Alam Odho reviewed the arrangements, emphasizing the deployment of 5,367 police officers and personnel along the procession route.
To enhance security, walk-through gates have been placed at all entry and exit points, ensuring thorough screenings of attendees.
Additionally, the Bomb Disposal Squad and Special Branch personnel have been assigned to monitor and search participants for potential security threats.
The authorities have urged citizens to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and abide by security protocols to ensure a peaceful and orderly commemoration of Youm-e-Ali.
