We don’t take MQM-P leader’s statement seriously, says Sharjeel Inam Memon

Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon dismissed recent criticisms from the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) leaders, calling them baseless and politically motivated.

Sharjeel Memon responded to Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui’s remarks, stating that MQM-P’s statements are not taken seriously by the PPP.

Memon accused MQM-P of trying to revive its “dead politics” by criticizing the PPP, adding that the party’s leadership was only seeking attention to bolster its political stature.

He also noted that the MQM-P’s criticism of the PPP is nothing new, stating that for Karachi’s residents, the politics of MQM-P has become “a nightmare of the past.”

Regarding the recent lunch event held by PPP in honor of Karachi’s traders, Memon described it as a success, stating that the gathering was intended to identify and solve traders’ problems, helping Pakistan move towards development.

He added that traders expressed full confidence in Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, appreciating the end of extortion, daily strikes, and other past issues under MQM-P rule.

Meanwhile, Barrister Murtaza Wahab, Karachi’s Mayor, condemned the press conference from Muttahida leadership, termed it a “pack of lies.”

He accused MQM-P leaders of channeling their internal differences and anxieties into attacks on the PPP.

Wahab further criticized MQM-P for its past history, which he said is marked by “sacked bodies and extortion,” and claimed that MQM-P leaders have become increasingly irrelevant as the Sindh government continues its development work under Bilawal’s leadership.

Wahab asserted that despite obstacles, the PPP remains committed to improving Karachi and Sindh, rejecting MQM’s attempts to derail the province’s progress.

He also declared that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is the “bright future of Pakistan,” and emphasized that every resident of Sindh, including the business community, stands with him.
