Mahnoor Cheema, a remarkable 16-year-old Pakistani-British student, has achieved a remarkable feat by passing an astounding 34 subjects at the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) level, establishing a new record in the history of the UK and EU GCSEs.
Mahnoor, who originally hails from Lahore, Pakistan, has outshone her peers by displaying exceptional academic prowess. Her journey to this achievement is an amalgamation of hard work, ambition, and dedicated family support. She made history by passing 17 subjects with A* grades as a private candidate in Year 10. Recently, she elevated her accomplishment by adding another 17 subjects, totaling an astonishing 34 subjects – a feat unparalleled in the UK and EU.
Born to Barrister Usman Cheema and Tayyaba Cheema, Mahnoor’s family moved to the UK in 2006, with her parents pursuing further education at renowned institutions. She attended Langley Grammar School in West London, following her initial education in Lahore.
Mahnoor’s exceptionalism extends beyond academia. She has achieved a Mensa IQ Test score of 161, surpassing the renowned Albert Einstein, who is believed to have had an IQ of 160. This accomplishment positions her among the top 1% of the world’s population in terms of intellectual ability.
