WhatsApp is preparing to launch a new feature that will allow users to easily manage multiple accounts within a single app on a single device. The upcoming update, discovered by WABetaInfo, will enable individuals to seamlessly switch between different accounts, providing enhanced convenience and flexibility.
At present, the multi-account functionality is visible only on WhatsApp Business, but it is anticipated that it will be expanded to other versions in the near future. The feature will introduce a dedicated menu that enables users to effortlessly switch between their various accounts.
While other social media platforms like Instagram, Discord, and Telegram already offer similar capabilities, WhatsApp’s inclusion of this feature will cater to those who wish to keep their personal and professional accounts separate, even if they possess only one device.
Once a user logs in to an additional account on their device, it will be saved in their account list until they choose to sign out or remove it. However, it remains unclear how WhatsApp will differentiate between notifications from multiple accounts. Users may potentially see a label indicating the account from which a message originates, but this detail is yet to be confirmed.
The multi-account feature is currently in development for WhatsApp Business, indicating that it will take some time before it becomes available to all users. Nevertheless, once rolled out, this feature will provide greater convenience and a streamlined communication experience for individuals managing multiple WhatsApp accounts.
