The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) is responsible for issuing the National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP), which is essential for Pakistanis traveling or settling abroad.
Any Pakistani citizen can apply for a NICOP, which allows dual nationals to enter Pakistan without needing a visa.
To apply for a Smart NICOP, applicants must provide a valid passport number.
Applications can be submitted at any NADRA office in Pakistan, or overseas Pakistanis can visit their local consulate or apply online through the Pak Identity website.
NADRA has divided countries into two zones: Zone A, which includes European and Western nations like Canada, and Zone B, which consists of Arab countries such as Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
