Pakistani students planning to study in New Zealand must cover the full cost of their courses and register with an approved educational institution, as a mandatory requirement for student visa.
International students must attend the designated place of study on their visa, allowing full-time education in various programs such as secondary, tertiary [study after secondary school], and English language studies.
A key benefit is the option to work part-time, up to 20 hours a week, or full-time during holidays, based on individual visa conditions.
The visa holders may only remain in New Zealand for the duration of their studies, however, the visa period may be shortened if the foreign students’ passports expire before the end date of their study.
Applicants from Pakistan need to show proof of sufficient funds, with NZD $20,000 annually or NZD $1,667 monthly for shorter programs.
For primary and secondary school levels, funds of NZD $17,000 per year are required.
The visa application fee is Rs145,800 and is non-refundable, while the Visa Application Centre charges an additional Rs6,700.
