Security agencies are preparing to conduct raids on the houses of the dollar-hoarding mafia in collaboration with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
According to security sources, the next phase of the crackdown against the hoarding of dollars is set to begin, and this time, FIA and other sensitive institutions will join forces to raid homes and recover stored dollars.
Sources indicate that through data obtained from exchange companies, houses throughout the country have been identified for potential raids.
Additionally, the sensitive institutions have acquired credible information about entities that have been stockpiling dollars in the homes of these mafia figures. They have also compiled a list of individuals with unusually large holdings of dollars.
In the upcoming operations, FIA and other sensitive agencies will conduct targeted raids at these homes. Individuals found to be hiding dollars in their residences will face arrest and potential legal action.
It’s worth noting that the ongoing crackdown against the dollar hoarding mafia has led to a significant decrease in the dollar’s value against the Pakistani rupee. On September 1, the dollar reached its highest level at 328 rupees, but since then, its value has steadily declined, even falling below the 300-rupee mark in the open market. This crackdown has resulted in a 31-rupee drop in the dollar’s value.
