The protest by PTI workers in Karachi against the arrest of Imran Khan continues, resulting in numerous arrests of individuals involved in arson and stone pelting.
Following Imran Khan’s arrest, approximately 300 people engaged in rioting and arson have been detained, and four cases have been registered since the violent protests erupted yesterday.
Clashes between PTI workers, police, and Rangers personnel have persisted for an extended period on Dalmia and Rashid Minhas Roads in the Golestan Johar area of Karachi.
Agitated PTI protesters resorted to pelting stones at the police, prompting the police to respond with teargas shelling. In the midst of the chaos, the protesters entered a nearby private society.
The police have apprehended over 40 individuals, including women activists, involved in the riots in and around Millennium.
A violent protest by PTI workers took place at the nursery, with the police using shelling to disperse the protestors. As a result, 28 people, including women workers, were detained.
Since the protests began yesterday, the police have registered four cases, and the total number of detainees has reached approximately 300.
