Rahman has represented Bangladesh in 15 Tests, 116 ODIs, and 126 T20Is so far.
The PSL captioned the post: “Batters better shake carefully… it’s going to Fizz in the #NewEra. Mustafizur Rahman joins HBL PSL 11!”
This development comes just two days after Rahman was unexpectedly released by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) from its IPL 2026 squad, following directives from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
“Kolkata Knight Riders confirms that BCCI/IPL as the regulator of IPL has instructed it to release Mustafizur Rahman from the squad ahead of the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season,” the franchise had said in a statement.

Rahman’s sudden release prompted a strong response from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
The board announced that Bangladesh’s national men’s team would not travel to India for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, citing security concerns.
Youth and sports adviser Asif Nazrul also called for clarification regarding Rahman’s IPL exit in a post shared on his Facebook page.
Earlier this week, the Bangladesh government imposed a ban on coverage of the IPL, with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting noting that no reason had been communicated for Rahman’s exclusion.

The ministry added that the decision was made “in public interest” and acknowledged that it had caused distress among the people of Bangladesh.
The statement was signed by Assistant Secretary Firoz Khan.
