Hajj and Umrah pilgrims to get shuttle service

This year, the King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah will offer a free shuttle service to and from the Grand Mosque, Masjid al-Haram.

On Thursday, the announcement was made via the airport’s official Twitter account. According to the Tweet, the new service would take patrons from terminal 1 of the airport to the Grand Mosque and back again.

To guarantee that only Umrah pilgrims will use the service, the airport has established rules for it. Passengers must wear the Ihram and have their national ID card or passport on them in order to use the service.

The service will depart from the airport every two hours between 10 AM and 10 PM and from the Grand Mosque every two hours between 12 PM and 12 AM, beginning in January 2023 and continuing through Ramadan 2023.
