Covid-19 cases are once again increasing in the country after a short decline in the number, it goes up again to 17% positivity rate in Karachi.
Ministry of Planning and Development Asad Umar is concerned over the growing number of coronavirus cases in Karachi as the beds in hospitals are being rapidly occupied.
Taking to the Twitter on Thursday, Umar expressed his concerns over the surge in number of Covid-19 cases in Karachi, he asked public to follow the SOPs and get them vaccinated as soon as possible.

Sindh government earlier on Monday said, it will likely shut all the businesses which include marriage halls, cattle markets, restaurants and markets, if found violating SOPs i.e., not wearing face masks or maintaining social distances.
The government has also decided on the closure of primary schools, proposed by health department, and in-door dinning for two weeks, said Sindh Chief Secretary Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah.
The situation in the hospitals of Karachi is alarming as the cases are going up with high positivity rate, said Dr.Memon. The health officials also stressed upon the number of people getting vaccinated, said that 3.35 million people in Karachi are vaccinated, yet the number has not reached to what it has been expected.
Citizens are strictly asked to follow the SOPs or else will be dealt with severe punishment, warned the government.
