The Deputy Commissioners of Jamshoro and Tando Allahyar have sent letters to the Election Commission to postpone the local body elections in Sindh.
The DCs are seeking the postponement of the municipal elections scheduled on August 28 in the second phase in Sindh. They say that the elections should be postponed due to the situation caused by rain.
Deputy Commissioner Jamshoro has requested the Election Commissioner to postpone the municipal elections for 45 days while DC Tindwalhiyar for 60 days.
