Dawood Public School Students Shine: Secure Third Place in Youth Sci-POP Challenge and Set to Present at ASPAC Annual Conference

A team from Dawood Public School has achieved a remarkable milestone by securing third place in the prestigious Youth Sci-POP Challenge. Organized by the Gwacheon National Science Museum in South Korea, in partnership with ASPAC (Asia-Pacific Network of Science & Technology Centres), this competition invited young minds from the region to create a “Science Principle Experience Exhibit” that could captivate and educate a broader audience.

The students’ Magnetically Levitating Vertical Windmill impressed judges with its sustainable energy potential, standing out among entries from across the Asia-Pacific region. Experts at The Dawood Foundation oversaw the project.

“We are incredibly proud of our students for their ingenuity and dedication,” said Abdul Samad Dawood, Trustee of The Dawood Foundation and Vice Chairman of the Board of Dawood Hercules Corporation. “Their success is a testament to their hard work and the quality of education at Dawood Public School.”

This achievement has invited the team to present at the ASPAC Annual Conference, scheduled for September 5-7, 2024, in Seoul, South Korea to a global audience of science and technology professionals, educators, and museum experts. It reflects the growing culture of scientific inquiry and innovation at Dawood Public School as they set new standards of excellence in science and technology.
