The federal government on Wednesday increased the prices of petroleum products by up to Rs7.83 per litre, with the revised rates set to take effect from July 23, 2026.

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), the revised prices were approved under the government’s petroleum pricing mechanism following recommendations by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
The price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) has been increased by Rs7.83 per litre, taking the new ex-depot price to Rs375.04 per litre from Rs367.21.

Similarly, the price of Motor Spirit (petrol) has been raised by Rs6.39 per litre, bringing the new ex-depot price to Rs327.12 per litre, compared with the previous rate of Rs320.73.

The revised prices became effective from July 23, 2026, and will remain applicable for the next 24 hours.

Petrol is primarily used by motorcycles, cars and other private transport, while high-speed diesel is widely consumed by the transport, agriculture and industrial sectors.
The latest increase is expected to raise transportation and logistics costs, potentially adding to inflationary pressures across the economy.
