Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that Pakistan Army is committed to the complete eradication of the menace of terrorism. The sacrifice of martyrs for the promotion of peace will not be in vain.
According to ISPR, when Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa arrived on a visit to Corps Headquarters Peshawar, he was received by Corps Commander Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed.
The Chief of Army Staff was briefed on the security situation and development work in the amalgamated districts.
General Bajwa, while expressing satisfaction over the provision of a conducive environment by the security forces, said that long-term development and stability in the tribal districts were of utmost importance.
He said that Pakistan Army was committed to eradicating the scourge of terrorism and the sacrifice of martyrs for the promotion of peace would not be in vain.
The Army Chief attended the funeral prayers of Captain Saad and Lance Anik Irfan Shaheed. Governor KP and provincial ministers also attended the funeral prayers. Both were martyred while fighting in South Waziristan
