In response to significant flooding in Pakistan, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) on Wednesday granted a $3 million grant to aid in emergency relief operations.
More than 3,500 people have been hurt as a result of the disastrous floods in Pakistan, which have claimed 1,162 lives as of June 14.
The award, which is supported by the Asia Pacific Disaster Response Fund (APDRF), will assist in financing the urgent procurement of food supplies, tents, and other relief items to aid flood victims all around the nation.
ADB Director General for Central and West Asia Yevgeniy Zhukov stated, “ADB stands with the people of Pakistan during these trying times.”
