Today’s gold rates in Karachi and Pakistan, August 5, 2026:
- Gold, 24K per tola: Rs. 437,936 (+10,000)

International gold prices also surged powerfully, rising by $100 to settle at $4,155 per ounce, one of the largest single-session gains seen in global gold markets in a significant period, pushing global rates to their highest levels since before the mid-July correction.
The extraordinary rally in global gold rates was reflected in domestic pricing, with today’s gold rates in Karachi surging sharply across all categories throughout the session.
A gain of Rs. 10,000 per tola in a single session is among the most significant single-day advances recorded in Pakistan’s gold market in recent memory and signals a decisive and dramatic shift in market momentum.
Gold Rates in Karachi Deliver Strong Single-Session Surge
Wednesday’s extraordinary advance comes after a prolonged and deeply turbulent period for Pakistan’s gold market.
READ: Gold rates in Karachi slip slightly below Rs. 428,000 per tola
Tuesday had seen gold rates in Karachi edge down marginally by just Rs. 500 per tola to Rs. 427,936, following Monday’s modest recovery of Rs. 1,700 per tola and the sharp swings of the preceding days.
The cumulative picture over the past three weeks had been one of historic lows, failed recoveries, and extreme volatility without any sustained directional move.
Wednesday’s Rs. 10,000 per tola surge changes that picture dramatically. In a single session, gold rates in Karachi have recovered more ground than had been accumulated over the entire painful multi-week recovery process since the historic lows of July 17.
Gold Rates in Karachi Approach the Key Rs. 440,000 Mark
At Rs. 437,936 per tola, gold rates in Karachi have now pushed back to levels not seen since the early days of July, and are closing in on the key Rs. 440,000 mark that had been breached during the initial stages of the mid-July correction.
Reclaiming and sustaining above that level would represent a full recovery of the ground lost during one of the most difficult stretches Pakistan’s gold market has experienced in recent years.

Internationally, gold at $4,155 per ounce has now moved to its highest level in several weeks, reflecting a powerful and broad-based shift in global market sentiment.
Market Outlook Turns Decisively More Positive
Gold rates in Pakistan continue to be shaped by global economic signals, currency movements, and investor sentiment.
Wednesday’s extraordinary surge is the most significant single positive development in Pakistan’s gold market since the painful correction of mid-July began, and raises serious questions about whether that entire corrective phase has now been effectively reversed.
Traders and investors will be watching very closely whether gold rates in Karachi can hold and build on Wednesday’s historic gain in the sessions ahead, and whether the Rs. 440,000 mark can be reclaimed on a sustained basis as August progresses.
