Today’s gold rates in Karachi and Pakistan, August 4, 2026:

  • Gold, 24K per tola: Rs. 427,936 (-500)
  • Gold, 24K per 10 grams: Rs. 366,886 (-428)
  • Gold, 22K per 10 grams: Rs. 336,324 (-392)

The minimal dip in global gold rates was reflected in domestic pricing, with today’s gold rates in Karachi slipping only slightly across all categories throughout the session.

The scale of Tuesday’s decline, just Rs. 500 per tola, is strikingly small compared to the Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 4,300 swings seen repeatedly over the preceding two weeks, and represents the most contained single session seen in Pakistan’s gold market in a considerable period of time.

Gold Rates in Karachi Post the Calmest Session in Weeks

Tuesday’s marginal dip follows Monday’s modest recovery of Rs. 1,700 per tola, which had itself come after Saturday’s sharp decline of Rs. 3,700 per tola had reversed Friday’s strong close of Rs. 3,000 per tola in a single session.

The back-to-back sharp swings of Friday and Saturday had continued the extreme volatility that had characterized Pakistan’s gold market throughout July.

Tuesday’s dramatically smaller movement of just Rs. 500 per tola is therefore a significant and welcome change in character, suggesting the market may finally be moving into a more stable and less volatile phase after weeks of turbulence.

Whether this calmer session represents a genuine shift in the market’s behaviour or simply a brief pause within the broader pattern of sharp swings will be closely watched in the coming sessions.

Gold Rates in Karachi Hold Firmly Above Rs. 427,000

At Rs. 427,936 per tola, today’s gold rates in Karachi remain well above the Rs. 425,000 level that has provided a degree of support throughout the recent volatile period, and are holding in a comfortable range above the historic lows of mid-July.

Internationally, gold at $4,055 per ounce continues to hold a solid distance above the $4,000 threshold, reflecting a broadly stable global backdrop.

Market Outlook Cautiously Steadier

Gold rates in Karachi continue to be shaped by global economic signals, currency movements, and investor sentiment.

Tuesday’s calm and contained session is one of the more encouraging developments seen in the market in recent weeks, and if the reduced volatility can be maintained in the coming sessions, it would represent a meaningful improvement in the market’s overall character after one of the most turbulent stretches seen in Pakistan’s gold market in recent memory.

Traders and investors will be watching closely whether gold rates in Karachi can continue to consolidate in an orderly fashion and eventually push back toward higher levels, or whether the sharp swings of recent weeks return as the first full week of August progresses.

All rates are officially certified by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, based on interbank exchange rates for 999 purity (24K).
