This marks the second consecutive session of losses for the yellow metal, as the recent recovery momentum shows signs of cooling. The decline reflects a market consolidation phase after the explosive gains witnessed earlier in the month.

In 10 grams, 24-karat gold decreased by Rs. 1,543 to Rs. 399,636, while 22-karat gold fell by Rs. 1,414 to Rs. 366,346. The modest declines across all variants indicate controlled selling pressure rather than panic.

The dip was influenced by mild weakness in global markets. The international gold price per ounce fell by $18 to $4,436, retreating from recent highs. This global market softness provided a bearish cue for local traders.

Despite the recent pullback, gold remains significantly above the July lows near Rs. 421,000, with gains of approximately Rs. 45,000 per tola still intact. The broader recovery trend remains in place, though the market appears to be taking a breather.
