The steep fall in global gold rates was mirrored in domestic pricing, with today’s gold rates in Karachi retreating heavily across all categories throughout the session.

Saturday’s steep fall follows Friday’s flat session, when gold rates in Karachi had held unchanged at Rs. 483,036 per tola after a run of gains earlier in the week.

Saturday’s drop of Rs. 15,100 per tola has comprehensively reversed that stability, pushing prices back to their lowest level in over a week.
The broader picture for gold rates in Karachi over the past month has been one of a strong climb followed by an abrupt pullback, with Saturday’s fall serving as a reminder of how quickly sentiment can shift in the bullion market.
Gold Rates in Karachi Slip Below Rs. 468,000
At Rs. 467,936 per tola, gold prices in Karachi have now moved firmly below the Rs. 468,000 level, a threshold that had comfortably held through much of the past week.
Internationally, gold at $4,454 per ounce has also retreated well off its recent highs, suggesting the correction is being driven primarily by global factors rather than local demand conditions.
Market Outlook Turns Cautious
Gold rates in Pakistan continue to be shaped by a mix of global economic signals, currency movements, and investor sentiment.

Saturday’s sharp fall introduces a note of caution after weeks of steady gains, and the scale of the drop suggests the market may be entering a period of correction.
Traders and investors will be watching closely whether gold rates in Karachi can stabilize around current levels in the sessions ahead, or whether the downward pressure seen on Saturday extends further as global conditions continue to evolve.
All rates are officially certified by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, based on interbank exchange rates for 999 purity (24K).
