The Sindh Teacher Education Development Authority (STEDA) has announced the launch of a six-month Bridging Course Program for in-service teachers who hold a one-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree.
The initiative aims to help teachers upgrade their academic qualifications and meet the requirements for professional licensing and career development in the education sector.
Program Structure
According to the public notice issued by STEDA, the bridging program will consist of 18 credit hours and will be offered through STEDA-accredited institutions across Sindh and divided as follows:

- Curriculum Development and Implementation – 3 Credit Hours
- Educational Assessment and Evaluation – 3 Credit Hours
- ICT and AI in Education – 3 Credit Hours
- Pedagogical Content Knowledge – 3 Credit Hours
- Subject-Based Pedagogical Content Knowledge (Science, General Science, Mathematics, Social Studies) – 3 Credit Hours
- Action Research – 3 Credit Hours
Validity & Duration of Bridging Course Program
Authorities have clarified that only certificates issued by recognized and accredited institutions will be accepted as valid for official purposes.
The program has been introduced as part of STEDA’s broader efforts to improve teacher education standards. Officials said the bridging course will remain effective for a two-year implementation period covering 2026 and 2027.
Eligibility Criteria
Under the eligibility criteria, the program is specifically designed for teachers who have already completed a one-year B.Ed degree and are currently serving in educational institutions.
