Under the announced policy, students securing A-One and A grades will have the flexibility to apply to colleges of their own choice across the city.
However, students with B, C, and D grades have been advised to select colleges within their respective zones and closer to their homes to improve their chances of admission.
Education authorities noted that every year many students with lower grades apply to highly competitive colleges with high merit requirements, making admissions difficult due to limited seats and intense competition.
