New York City Mayor, Zohran Mamdani, has condemned the deadly shooting incident at an Islamic center in San Diego, saying Islamophobia continues to threaten Muslim communities across the United States.
According to international media reports, three people, including a security guard, were killed after gunmen opened fire at a mosque in San Diego.

Reports further stated that the attackers later died by suicide following the shooting incident.
Reacting to the attack, Zohran Mamdani said the tragedy reflected the ongoing dangers faced by Muslims in America due to rising hate and anti-Muslim sentiment.
In his response, Mamdani urged Americans to collectively confront Islamophobia and reject politics based on hatred, fear, and division.
He stressed that Muslim communities should be able to practice their faith safely without fear of violence or discrimination.
