Karachi and several parts of Pakistan are expected to experience a new spell of westerly winds, dust storms, and rain-thunderstorms from June 16 to June 20, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

The weather system, combined with moist currents from the Arabian Sea, is likely to affect upper and central regions of the country, including Punjab, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and parts of Sindh.
Karachi is also expected to see dust storms with light rain during this period.
In Punjab and Islamabad, scattered dust storms and rain-thunderstorms are forecast, with chances of heavy rainfall and hail in some areas such as Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, and Sialkot.

Similar weather activity is expected across several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Peshawar, Swat, and Abbottabad, where strong winds and heavy showers may occur intermittently.
Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are likely to experience widespread rain, windstorms, and isolated heavy falls, with the risk of landslides in mountainous regions.
In Balochistan, northern and northeastern districts may also receive rain accompanied by dust and strong winds.

For Sindh, upper districts such as Sukkur, Larkana, and Jacobabad are expected to face dust storms and thunderstorms, while Karachi may experience dusty winds and light rainfall during the forecast period.
The PMD has warned that strong winds and hailstorms may damage weak structures such as billboards, electric poles, and solar panels.
Urban flooding is also possible in major cities including Lahore, Gujranwala, and Faisalabad due to heavy rainfall.

Farmers have been advised to adjust agricultural activities according to the weather conditions, while tourists and travelers are urged to take precautions and avoid unnecessary travel during the spell.
