As Ramadan 2026 approaches, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has shared its latest weather outlook for Karachi.
According to the PMD, Karachi is expected to welcome the holy month of Ramadan with mild and pleasant weather conditions.

The fasting month is anticipated to begin on February 19, 2026, with the moon likely to be sighted on February 18.
Deputy Director Anjum Nazir Zaigham said that the city will experience cooler nights and pleasant mornings during the first two weeks of Ramadan, while daytime temperatures are expected to rise moderately in the latter half of the month.
Daytime highs are predicted to range between 32–34°C, with nighttime temperatures between 19–21°C.
Karachi Weather: PMD forecasts chances of rain
Zaigham added that westerly winds in the early days of Ramadan may bring light drizzles in some parts of Karachi. Similarly, parts of Sindh and Punjab may experience rain and thunderstorms in the initial days of the fasting month.
Clear to partly cloudy skies are expected across most parts of the country on the evening of February 18, improving the chances of sighting the Ramadan crescent moon.

Astronomical data indicates that the new moon will be born on February 17 at 5:01 pm. The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will convene in Peshawar on February 18 to formally assess moon sighting reports.
With favorable weather conditions in Karachi, the first days of Ramadan are expected to be comfortable for both early-morning sehri and evening iftar gatherings.
