Italy announces 10,500 job opportunities for Pakistani workers

The Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis has successfully secured new employment opportunities in Europe, with Italy offering 10,500 jobs specifically for Pakistani workers.

Out of the total 10,500 positions, 3,500 Pakistanis will be able to travel to Italy on employment visas, 1,500 will be employed under the Pakistani seasonal quota, and 2,000 under the non-seasonal quota.

The remaining jobs will be offered through various sector-specific arrangements.

The opportunities span multiple industries, including shipbreaking, hospitality, healthcare, and agriculture.

Available roles include welders, technicians, chefs, waiters, housekeepers, nurses, medical technicians, and farmers.

Chaudhary Salik Hussain congratulated the nation on the allocation of this job quota and announced that a joint working group meeting between Pakistan and Italy will take place in Islamabad in February 2026.

He described the initiative as a major milestone in giving Pakistani workers access to the European job market and highlighted the government’s dedication to securing quality employment opportunities abroad.

He noted that overseas Pakistanis play a crucial role in strengthening the national economy and serve as ambassadors of Pakistan.

He also expressed hope that other European countries would soon announce similar job quotas for Pakistani nationals.
