Gold rates in Pakistan remained unchanged on Monday, August 25, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association.
The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APGJSA) stated that this price follows global trends, where the 24-karat gold rate is selling at Rs 359,800 as of rate on Saturday, August 23.
In the local market, the price for 10 grams of 24-karat gold settled at Rs 308,470.
Internationally, gold is priced at $3,371 per ounce, during the same period, according to data from APGJSA.
Meanwhile, silver prices remains same at Rs 4121 per tola. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of silver is now selling at Rs 3,533.
Gold prices in Pakistan experienced sharp ups and downs last week, reflecting global market shifts and local currency movements.
On Monday, August 18, the gold rate surged by Rs 1500 per tola, starting the week on a positive note for investors.
However, the momentum quickly reversed on Tuesday, August 19, when prices dropped sharply by Rs 1,100 per tola.
The downward trend lasted long, as on Wednesday, August 20, gold prices fall by Rs1,400 per tola as global prices loss strength.
The prices on Thursday, August 21 hiked, with a significant jump of Rs 2,000 per tola,
This hike did not lasted long as on Friday, August 22 the gold prices witnessed a drop of Rs 1500 per tola.
The week closed on Saturday, August 23, with a surge of Rs 4100 per tola. The biggest single-day increase of the week, pushing gold rates higher and showing strong investor interest ahead of the weekend.
