The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast hot and humid weather conditions for Karachi on Thursday, August 7, with a mostly cloudy sky and chances of light rain or drizzle along coastal areas during morning or evening hours.
The prevailing weather is being influenced by monsoon activity and overcast conditions, which continue to trap heat and moisture across the region, making the air muggy and uncomfortable for residents.
Daytime temperatures in Karachi are expected to range between 31°C and 33°C, while nighttime temperatures will likely remain around 27.5°C, maintaining the overall warm and sticky atmosphere throughout the day and night.

Humidity will be particularly high, adding to the discomfort. Morning humidity may reach up to 74%, while evening levels will remain between 60% and 70%, further elevating the “feels-like” temperature due to damp and sticky air.
Winds from the west and southwest will prevail, but they are unlikely to provide significant relief from the oppressive humidity or thick cloud cover hanging over the city.
The PMD has advised that while light rainfall or drizzle may occur in some parts of Karachi, no heavy downpours are expected during the 24-hour period. Nonetheless, residents should remain alert, especially those with respiratory issues or sensitivity to heat and moisture.
