The NADRA Regional Head Office Karachi has successfully registered 106 orphaned and unclaimed individuals during a special identity registration drive held in collaboration with the Edhi Foundation from July 8 to 11.
The initiative aimed to provide legal identity to orphaned children and unregistered residents living at various Edhi Centres across the city.
According to a NADRA spokesperson, the drive reflects the authority’s ongoing commitment to supporting vulnerable and marginalized communities.
Of the total 106 registered individuals, 46 were minors, including 31 girls and 15 boys. Officials noted that legal identity is essential for accessing basic social and economic rights, including education, healthcare, and financial inclusion.
The Director General of NADRA Karachi visited the registration site to inspect operations and held meetings with Edhi Foundation representatives to explore future collaboration.
He emphasized NADRA’s dedication to humanitarian causes and highlighted the importance of ensuring that no citizen is left undocumented.
