The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced the temporary closure of its Awami Markaz Registration Center in Karachi for a period of two weeks.
According to a notification issued by the Regional Head Office Karachi, the closure period will begin on Sunday, July 14, and continue through Saturday, July 27, due to renovation and expansion work.
The move is part of NADRA’s ongoing efforts to upgrade and modernize its facilities for better public service. The renovation will enhance capacity and speed up processes for CNIC registration, renewal, and related documentation once the center reopens.
To accommodate citizens during this closure, NADRA has deployed a Mobile Registration Van (MRV) near the Awami Markaz premises.
The MRV will provide key services during regular working hours, offering a temporary but functional alternative for those with urgent documentation needs.
NADRA officials have appealed to Karachi residents for cooperation and patience, urging them to take advantage of the mobile facility.
Citizens are also encouraged to follow updates via NADRA’s official social media platforms, where notifications about reopening and service adjustments will be posted regularly.
The two-week closure reflects NADRA’s broader vision to improve infrastructure and customer service. Once reopened, the renovated Karachi center is expected to deliver faster, more streamlined experiences for thousands of daily visitors.
