How to apply for NADRA Juvenile CNIC

Parents across Pakistan can apply for a National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) Juvenile CNIC for children under eighteen by visiting their nearest Registration Centre with required documents.

Required Documents

Bring both parents’ original CNICs and the child’s computerized birth certificate from Union Council or Cantonment Board. For foreign-born children, a naturalization certificate is needed.

If the child is adopted, legal guardians must carry their CNIC and proof of adoption, along with an attestation from a gazetted officer or elected representative.

How to Apply

At the NADRA centre, collect a token from the reception desk and wait until your number appears on the electronic screen near the counters.

A biometric scan of one parent will be taken to verify identity before beginning the child’s data entry into the NADRA system for a Juvenile CNIC.

A data entry officer will take the child’s photo, fingerprints, and personal information. Carefully review the printed form and correct any spelling or date mistakes.

If both parents are present, the mother’s biometric will also be recorded. This confirms the relationship and ensures smooth verification during final interview and approval.

During the short interview, the NADRA officer may ask basic questions about the child’s family to match the information with official NADRA records.

Fee Details, Card Delivery Timelines

After approval, an SMS with the application number is sent. You can pay the NADRA Juvenile CNIC fee online, at the centre, or via listed banks.

Choose from three delivery options: Normal (Rs. 750 – 30 days), Urgent (Rs. 1,500 – 15 days), or Executive (Rs. 2,500 – 7 days).

Return to NADRA on the mentioned date with your receipt. After biometric verification, your child’s Juvenile CNIC card will be handed over.

Make sure the information is accurate to avoid problems in passport processing, school admission, or CNIC upgrade when the child turns eighteen years old.
