The Qualifier 1 of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 will be played between Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
Quetta enters the clash as the most consistent team this season, finishing top of the table with 15 points.
They won seven matches, lost only two, and one was washed out. Their record in Lahore is strong too, winning four out of five games, with one match abandoned.
Islamabad United, in contrast, had a rollercoaster campaign.
They started with five straight wins but stumbled during their Lahore leg, losing four out of five matches—three of them at Gaddafi Stadium.
Islamabad eventually bounced back in a must-win match against Karachi Kings, securing a 79-run victory to grab second place on the points table with 12 points, edging Karachi on net run rate.
A worrying sign for Islamabad is that Quetta beat them in both league encounters this season.
With Lahore proving to be a happy hunting ground for the Gladiators, Islamabad will need a special effort to turn the tide.
Head to head:
Both the teams played 21 matches against each other in PSL. Gladiators won 11 and lost 10.
