Lahore court orders arrest of actor Nazish Jahangir in fraud case

Nazish Jahangir

A Lahore court has issued non-bailable arrest warrants for actor Nazish Jahangir in a Rs2.5 million fraud case. She is to be arrested and presented in court on Saturday, March 22, as reported by Dawn News.

According to the report, the Cantt Kutchery Court’s judicial magistrate, Ghulam Shabbir Sial, issued the order in response to a case filed by actor Aswad Haroon.

He claimed that Jahangir borrowed Rs2.5 million and a car for two months but failed to return them. Haroon stated that despite filing a police complaint, he did not get justice. He requested the court to order the return of his money and car.

The case was registered in 2024 under Section 420 of the Pakistan Penal Code at the Defence C police station. Haroon alleged that Jahangir, whom he knew from the entertainment industry, borrowed the money and car for a project but did not return them even after six months.

He further claimed that Jahangir promised to return the car’s papers at a farmhouse but did not show up.

Instead, she allegedly sent a man named Sikandar Khan, who threatened Haroon with weapons and warned him not to contact her again.

Jahangir had filed a pre-arrest bail plea in September 2024, calling the case a move to harass her, but the court dismissed it.

In October, the Lahore High Court directed the FIA to decide on her petition against social media propaganda.
