A man was robbed by suspects dressed as police officers near the Lyari Expressway, raising concerns over security in the city.
The victim reported that he was traveling from Water Pump to Sohrab Goth when two men in police uniforms stopped him on a motorcycle.
Under the pretense of a security check, they searched his vehicle and forcefully took Rs 250,000 at gunpoint.
The suspects also damaged his car, stole his mobile phone, and physically assaulted him before fleeing.
The victim lodged a complaint at the Sachal police station, but he claimed that officers were not properly addressing the issue.
Notably, the mention of police uniforms was missing from the FIR, meanwhile, the authorities have launched an investigation, visited the crime scene, and are reviewing CCTV footage to identify the suspects.
