Gold prices in Pakistan continued the upward trend as the global market loomed close to $2, 700 per ounce, according to media reports.
The all Sindh Saraf Jewellers Association stated that the gold further gained a sizeable value by Rs1400 to Rs280,800 per tola and Rs1201 to Rs240,741 per 10 grams.
However, the world market traded gold bullion for $2,690 per ounce, up by $14 while silver was selling at over $30 per ounce.
Local silver was priced at Rs3,350 per tola and Rs2,872.08 per 10 grams, according to the association.
The open market may trade gold and silver at different prices compared to those announced by the association.
Last week, the price of 24 karat gold per tola fell by Rs700, dropping to Rs275,000, down from Rs275,700 on the previous trading day, according to the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold decreased by Rs600, from Rs236,368 to Rs235,768. The price of 10-gram 22 karat gold also dropped, falling to Rs216,121 from Rs216,671.
The prices of silver remained unchanged, with per tola silver priced at Rs3,350 and 10 grams at Rs2,872.08.
