Starting from January 15, Pakistan will begin issuing a new, secure B-Form – the identity document issued by the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) for children – for aged 10 and above.
This updated form will include essential security features such as fingerprints and photographs to protect against identity theft and prevent crimes like human trafficking and illegal passports.
Here’s how parents or legal guardians can get the new B Form for their children:
The child must be born in Pakistan and under the age of 18 have to visit NADRA center with one parent or legal guardian must be present at the time of application

- One parent must have a valid National Identity Card (NIC) or National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP)

- For children aged 10 and above, a photograph and fingerprints are required
These documents are necessary for processing the B Form.

NADRA plans to introduce more reforms in the coming phases, including IRIS scans and further integration with provincial systems to enhance security and service delivery.
