Following a dominating victory against India, the Pakistan team defeated the UAE and secured a spot in the semi-finals of the U-19 Asia Cup.

In a thrilling match at the Dubai International Stadium, Pakistan emerged victorious by 69 runs against the UAE after setting a target of 315 runs for the hosts.

Shahzeb Khan led the charge with a brilliant knock of 132 runs, supported by Mohammad Riazullah’s impressive 106. Usman Khan contributed 41 runs, while Fahamul Haq remained not out with 20 runs.

For the UAE, Noorullah Ayubi and Adish Suri claimed two and one wicket, respectively.

Despite D’Souza’s valiant 81-run effort and Mohammad Ryan’s 50, the hosts were bowled out for 245 runs.

Adish Suri added 29 runs, and captain Ayan Afzal managed 15 before being dismissed.

Pakistan’s Abdul Subhan delivered a match-winning performance, taking 6 wickets, while Muhammad Ahmed chipped in with two, securing Pakistan’s comprehensive win.

Earlier to this, Pakistan U19 secured a 44-runs victory against India U19 in a thrilling encounter at the U19 Asia Cup 2024.

Pakistan’s opener Shahzaib Khan delivered a masterclass in batting, smashing a scintillating 159 off 147 balls. Usman Khan Jr., who contributed a steady 60 runs with five fours, built a formidable 160-run opening partnership, setting the tone for Pakistan’s total of 281 for seven in 50 overs.

Chasing 282, India’s batting line-up crumbled under pressure as Pakistan’s bowlers struck early.

Ali Raza and Faham-ul-Haq, took two wickets each, while the rest of the bowling unit chipped in with a wicket.

Despite a few resilient partnerships, the Indian side was bundled out for 237, falling 44 runs short.

This win strengthens Pakistan’s position in the tournament, giving them a significant boost in the group-stage standings.
