Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested a gang involved in robbing vehicles from the citizens in Karachi.
As per the details, the Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC) Orangi and Gulistan-e-Johar division conducted an operation and arrested a six-member gang involved in lifting vehicles.
The police officials asserted to have recovered two vehicles from the possession of the arrested individuals – identified as Furqan Ali, Ghulam Asghar, Ajab Gul, Meraj Hussain, Mansoor Khan and Yar Muhammad.
The police officials further stated that the raids were being conducted to arrest the suspects’ accomplices and recover more vehicles.
Earlier in the day, the law enforcement authorities claimed to have arrested the notorious leader of a 15-member gang involved in several criminal activities in Karachi.
As per the details, Karachi police along with the Rangers conducted a tip-off operation at Sardar Mumtaz village located near Hub River Road and arrested the most wanted leader of a 15-member gang along with his accomplice.
The Rangers spokesperson disclosed that the gang leader identified as Faheem along with his accomplice has been arrested, adding that the arrested accused are also involved in firing on a police mobile.
The spokesperson revealed that another accomplice – named Muhammad Naeem – of the arrested accused is already in custody, adding that the suspects used to commit robberies in different areas of Karachi including Hub River Road, Ittehad Town, and other areas.
