Australia convincingly defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in the third T20I, chasing down a modest target of 118 in just 11.2 overs to complete a 3-0 series whitewash.

The batting line of Pakistan struggled after opting to bat, getting bowled out for 117 in 18.1 overs.

Babar Azam top-scored with 41 off 28 balls, but the rest of the batting lineup stumbled, with seven players failing to reach double digits, while with Haseebullah Khan (24) and Shaheen Afridi (16) Pakistan team manage to cross 100 runs.

Australia’s bowlers dominated in the third T20 match, with Aaron Hardie taking 3/17 and Adam Zampa and Spencer Johnson picking up two wickets each.

In reply, Marcus Stoinis smashed an unbeaten 61 off 23 balls, including five fours and five sixes, to lead the Australian chase. Glenn Maxwell contributed 20, as the hosts cruised to victory in 11.2 overs with seven wickets in hand.

Pakistan made notable changes for the final match with Mohammad Rizwan benched himself, with Haseebullah replacing him and Salman Agha captaining the side in the third T20I.

Jahandad Khan played his debut match against the Aussies, but the team’s performance remained underwhelming.

Despite Haris Rauf’s milestone of becoming Pakistan’s joint-leading T20I wicket-taker earlier in the series, Pakistan will need to address their batting and fielding weaknesses ahead of future matches.
