Karachi is likely to have a shorter winter season current year, as the mercury is expected to drop by mid-December, as per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
The city is currently dealing with unexpected high temperatures reaching 40°C, which raises concerns among the residents regarding the impact of climate change.
However, the experts forecast that this year winter will be milder than usual throughout Pakistan, including Karachi.
It is worth noting here that the delayed winter season is evidence of the ongoing effects of climate change, which also led to raised demand for beverages and fluids nationwide.
On the other hand, dry weather is forecasted for many regions, although some areas such as Lahore, Islamabad, and Gilgit-Baltistan may experience isolated rain and light snowfall.
