NADRA services including ID Card renewal now available at Pakistan Post Offices

Good news for citizens tired of enduring long queues at NADRA centers: various services, including the renewal of national identity cards without the need to wait, are now accessible at post offices.

In Karachi, ten General Post Offices (GPOs) have established dedicated counters to provide NADRA-related services to citizens. These counters are equipped with devices linked to the NADRA system, streamlining the process and eliminating the need for extensive waiting.

The post office counters offer a range of services, including identity card renewal, updating marital status, and the issuance of replacements for lost identity cards.

Additionally, individuals can renew their ID cards at the post office up to one year after the expiration date. Changes to home addresses, signatures, and photographs can also be made conveniently.

However, it’s important to note that the post office counters do not provide biometric facilities for blood relation verification, which necessitates form renewal from a 16th-grade officer. Furthermore, services for FRC (Family Registration Certificate) and (b) form issuance are not available at these counters.

The agreement with NADRA to set up these counters at Pakistan Post Office locations spans ten years, ensuring continued accessibility to these essential services.
