SZABIST University proudly announces the much-anticipated 9th edition of the SZABIST Marketing Ultimate Challenge (SMUC), which took place on May 4th and 5th, 2024, at SZABIST University Karachi Campus. This flagship event, organized by the university, showcases the marketing prowess of its BBA Program’s 6th semester students, with a focus on the dynamic fun and amusement industry.
Over the past eight years, SMUC has evolved into a platform where students compete by crafting innovative marketing campaigns for various industries. This year, the theme of the amusement led to an exciting clash of creativity and strategy among participating teams.
The competition was judged by esteemed industry experts, including Ms. Zainab Dar, Head of Marketing at Sindbad’s Wonderland Pvt. Ltd; Mr. Yahya Vana, Director at Vana Group of Companies; and Mr. Abdul Rehman Baig, Director Marketing at ARBIS. The event featured a keynote address by Ms. Mahwash Syed, CEO at Phoenix Consultants, offered valuable insights into the marketing landscape.
Prior to the main event, the organizing committee hosted a Google Ads Workshop featuring panel speakers, Ms. Syeda Hafsa, Marketing and HR Lead at Hamdard Pakistan, and Mr. Hammad Qaiser, Founder of AFFILITO. This initiative aimed to equip participants with practical skills and industry knowledge.

The winners of day 1 were Team Orange Esports. The winners of day 2 were Team Bahria Adventure Land. Each team was representing a different company from the fun & amusement industry.
