Sindhi, Urdu should be properly taught in schools: Education minister

Sindh Education and Culture Minister Syed Sardar Shah has said that according to the Private School Act, it is mandatory to teach Urdu and Sindhi to students. Teachers will be given technical training so that they can teach the languages ​​to children in a better way, he said today as the chief guest in a meeting organized by the Directorate of Inspection and Registration of Private Institutions. 

On this occasion, Noorul Huda Shah said that children will never be able to love their country and their people only until they are familiar with their own language. He said that it is easier to understand the pain of their people in their own language. He said that we have to consider the language as a sacred trust and pass it on to future generations.

On this occasion, Sindh Education and Culture Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah said that due to trends like considering English as a qualification, not only language but also the learning process of other subjects has been damaged. It is imperative, the provincial education minister said that under the Act, private schools have not yet been able to enroll 10 per cent of poor children, in many cases we as a society also need to play our role, said Sardar Shah.

He announced that language learning centres are being established in the four cities of Sindh, Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur and Larkana. Teachers who teach Sindhi and Urdu will be trained in private schools.
