The Sindh government has made the decision to launch an immediate crackdown on the use of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) kits in school vans and coasters, as well as take action against illegal bus stands. The decision was taken during a meeting supervised by Sharjeel Memon, the Minister for Information and Transport.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that swift action should be taken to remove CNG kits from school vans and coasters. Sharjeel Memon instructed the authorities to initiate crackdowns against illegal bus stands and file cases against those involved.
To ensure effective implementation, letters will be written to the relevant commissioners and deputy commissioners prior to taking action against illegal bus stands. The Secretary of Transport has also decided to register First Information Reports (FIRs) against individuals operating illegal bus stands.
Sharjeel Memon stressed the importance of the Transport Department eliminating the illegal occupation of bus stands and seeking assistance from relevant authorities in this regard.
